Down: This is the softest most compressible insulation we offer, this premium option feels incredible and will keep you warmer with less weight. The down-side of this insulation is that it is susceptible to water, to combat this we created DryDown which repels water - fixing the only issue down has in wet climates. (This is a natural animal product that was 100% responsibly sourced)
Synthetic: This insulation is still soft but it is 100% man made insulation fibers. No animals are used in the process of making this fiber. It is 100% unaffected by water, so if you will be using Puffle in wet climates constantly this is your best option.
All of our temperature ratings are "COMFORT" rated, meaning you will be comfortably warm down to the prescribed temperature. This will vary user by user, because everyone is different when it comes to how their body works. But in general (after selling thousands of these) our customers can confirm, our temps are very accurate.
